As many of you are aware, my absolute favorite fish to catch is the mighty catfish! There's just something about the thrill of reeling in a big one and the delicious taste of those fillets that keeps me hooked. So, you can imagine my excitement when I received a message from Bust'n Blues Guide Service last weekend.
After scrolling through their impressive FaceBook page, I was blown away by the stunning photos and videos of their fishing adventures. It was like a siren call beckoning me to drop everything and head straight to the nearest lake.
Bust'n Blues Guide Service is the brainchild of the dynamic Mike Adams. Specializing in Blue Catfish fishing at Fort Cobb and Tom Steed Lake, Bust'n Blues is the real deal. Mike's passion for fishing runs deep, and he finally took the plunge into the world of guide services in August of 2024. When asked why he got into fishing, his response was pure poetry: "I don't think I got into fishing, fishing got into me."
Mike's joy comes from seeing the excitement on a friend or client's face when they reel in a big catch. And when it comes to bait, he's a purist - opting for natural shad or cut bait over store-bought options. I couldn't agree more with his philosophy!
When it comes to tackle, Mike trusts MadKatz for rods, Penn Reels, Smackdown Rod Holders, and MulTbars. I recently got my hands on some Smackdown Rod Holders for my boat, and let me tell you, they are a game-changer. Dependable, easy to install, and perfect for those moments when you hook a real whopper. I am excited to check out the others.
So, if you're looking for an unforgettable fishing experience with a side of wit and charm, look no further than Bust'n Blues Guide Service. Mike will have you hooked in no time!
In addition to running his guide service, Mike also works full-time as a truck driver hauling equipment for Troy Jones Equipment in Elk City, Oklahoma.
According to Mike, the biggest challenge he faces while fishing is when the fish are feeling a bit shy and don't want to take the bait. Despite this, he has had some memorable catches, including a 50lb beauty. However, his pride took a hit when he watched a kid reel in an even bigger fish shortly after. It's clear that Mike loves helping others create lasting memories on the water!
Mike's advice to fellow anglers is simple: patience is key. Don't give up, stay open-minded, and be willing to try new techniques. When it comes to the future of fishing and Bust'n Blues Guide Service, Mike sees nothing but growth, especially in the realm of trophy blue cat fishing.
If you're itching to reel in some massive catfish and sharpen your skills, look no further than Bust'n Blues Guide Service. Just take a peek at the photos, videos, and reviews - they speak for themselves!
A huge thank you to Mike Adams at Bust'n Blues Guide Service for allowing us to shine a spotlight on your business. I can't wait to book a trip with you soon!
